Rod Woodson gets HOF

I believe that is number 19! This is one of my favorites. He was the one I grew up watching. Even went to his restaurant when I was in Pittsburgh back in '95. I was actually at the game when he blew his knee out. I met him a couple days before at his restaurant. He went around talking to people. He was awesome.

2008 Steelers best defense

The game has changed so much, it's hard to say who has the best D! In my opinion it comes down to 70's Steelers(most people agree the '76 was the best), and the '85 Bears. Sorry Ravens you were a flash in the pan. One good year, then number two ever since. I guess you could throw out who had the lowest yards, lowest points, and played the toughest schedule. But to me, there is only one thing that matters. The Steelers sustained it for a decade. The '76 team didn't even win it, but there defense was incredible. Out of all the numbers, they dominated for the longest time. Enough said!!

Limas Sweed a big bust?

"Before I got to the end zone, boom — the ball just popped out," Sweed remembers. "The other team recovered. That was the worst." That was the worst? Are you serious? Did you fall to the ground in the fetal position in front of 40 million people? Cost your team a timeout and lose 3 points, at the time, was a barn burner before half? Almost cost the most followed team in the NFL a trip to the Super bowl? 8 catches for a total of 84 yards, NO TD'S. That's your stats, including playoffs! Don't down play it you've been a huge bust. And you took your eyes off the ball because the safety was coming. I don't see the up side. Prove me wrong! PLEASE!!

Steeler Cards

Most people I talk to act like the Steelers are goin to pluck some feathers. I don't think anyone is playing better than the Cards. Veteran QB, very fast secondary, unbelievable receivers; did I mention that it's in warm weather. That's a big advantage for a passing team! Don't get me wrong I think we have the better TEAM, but the team as a whole has to play well. Plus, they can't be overconfident. I really don't want to hear about the first Superbowl the Cardinals won against the Steelers for the next 20 years!!

Hines Ward playing

Like we all didn't know that already. Are there any Steelers fans out there that thought he would miss this game? If the game was played yesterday, he'd been out there.

Running game needs to come through

Can Willie run against the Cards. If he racks up a 100 yards it should be a victory. They also need to keep the running trio of Edge, Hightower, and Arrington in check. Arrington also runs kicks back, we can't let then get cheap points or even field position with that high octane offence.

Warner is the key

The one thing that scares me about Warner is that he is one of the best at the quick slant when the blitz is coming. I guess there is 2 things, Fitzgerald is a beast. So if he has time, hopefully he won't, he can throw a jump ball. What I hope is the first time they do that, 1 of the safeties comes over and knocks him silly.
then maybe he'll have alligator arm the rest of the game!

What a game

Steelers beat the Ravens for the third time! Can you believe it. I would be more happy about it but we had a problem at b3. We ordered last call and they gave us small beers. After we had 12 lg. between us! The nerve!!
HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!

Today's the day

Today is the day we eat some Ravens! Maybe we could grill em. Then in 2 weeks we can make a little Eagle or Cardinal for dinner. Man this is making me hungry!!

A little Pepper with that!!!

I know the biggest game of the year is tomorrow, but, how great would it be if Peppers would come to the Steelers. He said he would like to play in a 3-4 scheme. What better one to play for than the number one defence. You have to think playing D for the Steelers is what most great defensive player would want to do. Not to mention our D line is getting older. I doubt they would pay as much as he will get, but I can dream!

Is it just me

I'm probably gonna be hated for this, but, does anyone else think Leftwich would do awesome if he was the starter. Here's my reasoning;
1) Did you see the deep throw against the Chargers. It seems like every time he's in, he throws like that. Impressive since he's coming off the bench.
2) They say Leftwich takes forever to wind up, but Ben takes for ever to make a decision.
3)He seems to have less turnovers.
4) OK that's all I have; The one thing about Roethlisberger is that sometimes he has a phenomenal play when he running around. He also seems to have that it factor!

Glad to have a running game

It's been a long time since I've bee on here. I've been working 2ND shift at the railroad, now I'm on third(just in time for the playoffs). So here we go...

Thank you so much for bringing the real Fast Willie back! I absolutely love to see him go off tackle. When he gets around that def. end, he's good for at least 6 or 7. If he gets around the outside lb... ooohh! Man is he fast. Glad to see it Willie.
